In the construction of photovoltaic power plants, the selection and procurement of transformers and switchgear directly impact project quality, power generation efficiency, and long-term operational performance over a 25-year period, making them a core focus of EPC project management. Photovoltaic power plants operate under complex and unique conditions, characterized by intermittent power generation, significant harmonic distortion from inverters, and frequent load fluctuations. Furthermore, as they are exposed to harsh outdoor environments over the long term, standard distribution transformers struggle to meet the demands of long-term, stable operation. Currently, most solar projects face issues such as low power generation, frequent equipment failures, difficulties in grid connection acceptance, and excessively high O&M costs. The root causes of these problems largely stem from non-standardized equipment selection and unreasonable parameter matching during the preliminary planning phase.
